No fumes in the hallway
In a condo, spray odor travels down corridors and into neighbors' units. An odorless pour doesn't.
A poured coating settles flat like water in a sheltered bay — thicker, smoother and more even than anything a spray gun lays down. And it has no odor.
Most refinishers spray because it's quick. We pour because the result is thicker, smoother and lasts longer — and because it's far easier to live with on the day.
A thin film built up from atomized droplets. It follows every flaw underneath, runs thin on edges and at the drain, and leaves overspray and strong fumes in the room.
A liquid layer several times thicker, leveled by gravity. It fills fine scratches, rounds over edges with a full coat, and cures into one seamless, glass-smooth shell.
| Pour-on (our method) | Spray reglazing | |
|---|---|---|
| Thickness | Thick, self-leveling layer | Thin film, thinnest at edges |
| Surface | Glass-smooth, no texture | Can show orange peel or dust nibs |
| Odor | Odorless | Strong solvent smell, often for days |
| Overspray | None — nothing is airborne | Mist can settle on tile, fixtures and floors |
| Ventilation | No fans or exhaust ducting needed | Respirator, fans and ducting required |
| Home during the job | Stay in, carry on as usual | Usually asked to leave |
| Repairs | Filled and buried under a thick coat | May telegraph through a thin film |
Old caulk and any failed coating come off. Soap film, body oils and mineral scale are removed completely.
The glassy enamel is chemically etched to give it microscopic tooth — the step that makes the new coating bond.
Chips, rust and the drain ring are filled, then the whole tub is sanded and wiped dust-free.
The coating is poured along the rim. It runs down the walls and across the floor, and we guide it into every corner.
A flexible seal is set around the tub under the finish. The tub cures untouched for 24 hours.
Prep is most of the job. Of the three hours we spend at your tub, the pour itself takes minutes. The rest is cleaning, etching and repair — because a coating is only as good as its bond to what's underneath.

A thicker sealed layer gives moisture and salt air less chance to reach the metal underneath.
No evacuating kids, kūpuna or pets for the day, and no plastic tenting through the house.
